ITINERARY
On your very first day, you will arrive in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. 123EgyptTours.com representative will get you at the Cairo International Airport and will assist you on necessary papers in matters of your entry. On day one itself, you will not think of many things but to enjoy and relax. You will be taken to your hotel with a free welcome drink. Be entertained with the spectacular sound and light show as we take you to the Pyramids during the night and continue with the leisure in this great city
Start your day with your breakfast at the hotel. An Egyptologist will take you to a burial site of ancient Pharaohs in Sakkara, a part of Memphis's massive necropolis. Here you will see the first pyramids built in Egypt. Ancient Egyptian architect such as Imhotep designed the Step Pyramid of King Djoser as well as Teti Pyramid and a tomb in Sakkara still exists and shall be part of the tour.
After, you will be transferred to the Ancient capital of Egypt in Memphis. There you will visit the colossal statue of Ramses II and a still half-buried Hathor Temple nearby. Next on the list for the day is the drive to the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s GREATEST attractions which is The Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. The tour also includes on the tour is a visit to the valley temple facing the sphinx with an optional visit to the solar boat. This boat is indeed sensational since it used to carry the Pharaoh’s mummy across the River Nile and then interned at the foot of the pyramid. This is a strong belief of Egyptian that they should prepare material things for the afterlife.
You will be taking your lunch along the way before you are being transferred to Giza Railway station to board on the train where you will spend your night. This will go to Aswan and spend the whole night enjoy in entertainment on the train.
Take your breakfast on the train upon arrival our representative will meet and assist you in going to the hotel where you will be given with a welcome drink. As evening approaches you have the option to enjoy at the hotel with exceptional entertainment or join an optional tour to the Sound and Light Spectacular at the Philae temple. Return to your hotel after the show to rest for the rest of the night.
Early morning, have a sumptuous meal. Later you will be accompanied by your English speaking guide to celebrate the very highlight of the tour. It is the Sun Festival (at Abu Simbel temples twice a year February and October) that marks the emperor’s birthday and his ascension to the throne. This festival is unique and one of the most celebrated festivals in Egypt. After the festival you will be transferred to Aswan and then embark on a Nile cruise and take lunch.
After lunch and completing embarkation you will be joined by your tour guide to see famous areas in Aswan. These include the world famous High Dam miraculously built during the 1960s. It contains 18 times the material used in the Great Pyramid of Cheops; continue to the granite quarries which supplied the ancient Egyptian pharaohs with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and temples. The quarries still hold the famous Unfinished Obelisk, and then you will be taking a motor-boat to the island of Agilka to visit the majestic Philae temple that was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. The evening excursion offers either the sound or light show at the Temple of Philae. After the show return to the cruise for dinner and nightly entertainment.
After taking your breakfast, get a breath taking view as you go along the West Bank of the Nile River. First stop will be the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III or Colossi of Memnon. Second, it is visiting the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs discovered, those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs.
The tour continues at Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahari, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshipsut the mighty female pharaoh who ruled ancient Egypt. After, you will be taken back on your cruise for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. You can join an optional tour to the Karnak Temple Sound and Light Show.
In the morning, a special breakfast is prepared for you. Eat well as your tour guide will take you to the Karnak Temple. This is the larget place of worship in Egypt. This was built over two thousand years by different generation of rulers. That is why; this place is considered as “the most sacred of places”. Inside the complex is the “Hypostyle Hall”. You will be then transferred to the majestic Luxor temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun. Luxor is one of the best places in Egypt. Spend the time to go around and shop. After, you will be transferred to the Luxor train terminal to board your first class sleeper train back to Cairo with dinner and overnight stay onboard.
On the 9th day, start your day with a healthy meal onboard the sleeper train before arriving in Cairo. In the capital, our representative will take you to the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranging from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess. You can also take an optional visit to the mummies room at the Egyptian Museum where you can learn about the Great Egyptian civilization and the mummification art in ancient Egypt.
The next stop for the day is in the Citadel is Saladin that is overlooking the Muqattam Hills and Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque. This is considered one of Cairo’s landmarks since the interior of the building is designed like of the ones found in Turkey. Additionally you can also visit some important sites like the Hanging Church, Jewish Heritage including Ben Ezra Synagouge. After completing the tour return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

October 23th :Nile Cruise
Enjoy the sun rise before taking your breakfast on your river cruise in Aswan. Spend the morning saiingl to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple the crocodile-headed God of fertility and creator of the world Sobek as well as Haroeris, the falcon-headed solar war god. After the tour return to your cruise to head to Edfu where you will be riding a horse drawn carriage to visit the famous Edfu temple also known as the temple of Horus, it is the largest and most perfectly preserved of all the Nile temples. You will be taken back to the Nile cruise by the same way to sail to Luxor with lunch, afternoon tea and dinner aboard your cruise and overnight stay. October 24th :Nile Cruise
